Santa’s Apprentice Review: The Movie App

Santa's Apprentice- The Movie

Santa's Apprentice- The MovieSanta’s Apprentice– The Movie- HD By GoodBye Paper

The story starts off in Australia where Nicholas, an orphan, and his friends are thinking about what they want for Christmas. On the other side of the world, Santa after 168 years of service needs to find an apprentice to replace him. The Grand Council, made up of six other Santas, lay down the conditions that must be met for the new replacement:

  • Has to be named Nicholas, has to be a orphan and has to be pure of heart
The soon to be next Santa, which is narrowed down and chosen on a magical globe that appears in front of the Grand Council, is taken away to The North Pole to see if he has what it takes for the job! I don’t want to spoil the ending for you but I think you can see where this is leading…

Santa's Apprentice- the movie

Santa's Apprentice- The MovieThis is a cute story mixed with movie like scenes and interactive pages along with games to play like the memory game and puzzles, enough to keep the little ones occupied for awhile. When there are interactive activities, the screen lights up with a small dot to tap or an arrow on the top of the page to indicate that there is more to watch. In one of the scenes there are 7 continents each with a star. When you click on a star the sleigh takes you on a little ride showing off a famous symbol of that country (see Paris above).

I did notice a problem with the text on some of the pages. As you can see if the picture, the last sentence gets cut off when I watch this on my iPhone but when you slide your finger, the page does scroll up. On the iPad it works great.

This looks really fun. I’m not sure about the glitch with the text, though. I’d probably be watching it on an iPhone.

This looks adorable. And what a great way to keep the kids amused while trying to shop or drive.

    Thanks for a great review.

Thus looks really neat. It’s always interesting to see how they observe holidays in other countries.
