Welcome to the GearHeads Event hosted by The Review Wire! It’s no surprise that I’m a Gear Head…my Momma actually calls me a grease monkey! When I first met my Hubs {nearly 12 years ago} we meshed so nicely because we were both into cars and actually how we met. He took me for a ride in his Capri that had nearly 800 HPs and I was hooked…see I was a import gal and he was all Ford! Now we’ve met somewhere in the middle and enjoy anything that is fast and built on a budget.
Over time we’ve had dozens of cars from kits of nitrous on a integra to our current 89 GT Turbo’d small black Ford! The hubs raced his first season of Limited 8.5″ last year in the XOS (Xtreme Outlaw Series) and while we’d love to race an entire season this year {now that we have the car figured out and the bugs worked out!} we won’t have much time with the new move.

I want this for myself :p If I could have any vehicle at this point in life it would be a large SUV, like a Navigator to fit all of the kiddies’ stuff. Right now I have a 2 door car, so hard with a baby in back!
We’re the off-roading kind of gear-heads in this house! We have lifted trucks (all 4 are FORDS!), 6 quads, and a Polaris Ranger geared for the desert sand dunes. This prize pack would be for my college-freshman-going-for-his-Mechanical-Engineering-degree 18-year-old son, Matthew. I miss him while he’s away at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott, AZ), and he spends every second he’s home in the garage working on our toys.
